Using Children's Literature

Literature written for children is an invaluable resource in SOSE classrooms.

Often a book becomes the focal point of study in the classroom, with a variety of tasks being undertaken in the SOSE and other learning areas.  Children share the books and discuss the ideas and issues that are raised by them.

The following activites use children's books to explore a variety of issues relevant to SOSE learning.
