The Elements of the Learning Area

The key ideas of the SOSE learning area are organised into 6 strands.

Teachers can select appropriate focuses and topics by using the SOSE Organisers.

These are derived from the perspectives and values described in the
SOSE Statement and
are elaborated upon on the SOSE Planning Grid.
