DESCRIPTION:
Body length to 60mm. Strikingly handsome; it's back and the back of it's legs are uniform bright green or patterned in brown and green. It has broad disks on fingers & toes, snub nose.

HABITAT:
Rainforest, sedgeland, morelands, highlands, ponds & dams.

DISTRIBUTION:
Confined almost exclusively to the west coast and western highlands. Not found on King or Flinders islands.

CALL:
Quack…Quack…Quack like a duck, or the honking of a goose. Calls from the water or from vegetation on banks, calls all the year round.

UNUSUAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Found only in Tasmania; a very pretty frog with large eyes.
